Off the Hook is an obstacle, firstly introduced as the second obstacle on American Ninja Warrior 11 in Atlanta.
It consisted of two swings, each with a peg attached to it. The first swing had its peg attached on the right side along with a ring, while the second swing had its peg attached on the front side.
Competitors must grab a ring from the first swing and generate enough swing and momentum (in a similar fashion to the Ring Swing) to unhook the ring to the second swing's peg (in a similar fashion to the Sky Hooks). After that, they must generate enough swing and momentum to make the dismount to the landing platform.
A total of 26 competitors failed the obstacle during Atlanta qualifiers, including Tim Saguinsin and Colleen McCormack. A common mistake done on the obstacle was not having enough momentum to transfer between rings. Some also failed the dismount of the obstacle. However, during Atlanta finals, only Kirill Rebkovets and Tyrone Poole fell on the obstacle.
