Nirenbou (二連棒), called Super Vault in the G4 Broadcast, was the first obstacle of the Third Stage of KUNOICHI 3 and KUNOICHI 4. Competitors had to grab a hold of a pole and cross a pit of water roughly 3.4 meters to a safety platform and then grab another pole, and cross another pit of water around 3.5 meters, and land on a slanted landing platform roughly one meter high.
Similar in function to SASUKE's Pole Jump, this version turned out to be much less lethal, mainly due to the height of the poles. In addition, the gaps weren't nearly as large as those in SASUKE. It eliminated two competitors (although one of which was former stuntwoman Nishimura Chie, at the time the first woman to clear SASUKE's First Stage), both of which made a minor but fatal mistake on the second part of the obstacle. it was replaced in the following tournament with the Mujouheki.
