Ninja Warrior UK 6, formally known as Ninja Warrior UK: Race for Glory, was the sixth season of Ninja Warrior UK, and the first season after Tim Champion's total victory and a three-year hiatus since Ninja Warrior UK 5. Taped in early August 2022, the season premiered on September 10th, 2022. However, it is worth noting that due to the news regarding to the passing of Queen Elizabeth II on September 8th, 2022, the season premiere's had been moved from originally 5:30pm BST to 6pm BST and the duration had been shortened from sixty to fifty minutes. This season is the first season to hand out prizes, and it was £25,000 and a car.
This season featured several major changes to the competition format, including for the first time ever, the competition would crown both male and female champions.
The competition was split into two distinct male and female categories (akin to Gladiators, an ITV physical competition aired from 1992 to 2000).
In each category in each heat, there were two rounds, with each round consisting of head-to-head matches in a side-by-side course:
In Round 1, dubbed as Knockout Race, each match consisted of two competitors racing against each other over six obstacles, with the winner advancing to Round 2 and the loser being eliminated from the competition.
In Round 2, dubbed as Race Against the Elite, each match consisted of one winning competitor from Round 1 racing against an elite competitor preselected by the producers over nine obstacles for male category and six obstacles for female category. At the beginning of the race, the regular competitor received a two-obstacle head start over the elite competitor, meaning the regular competitor would run first and after completing two obstacles, the elite competitor would run. If the competitor beat the elite competitor, he/she would automatically advance to the finals, if not, he/she must wait and see if his/her performance was far and fast enough to fill the remaining spots for the finals (across all of the heats).
There were ten elite competitors for Race Against the Elite (five male and five female) with years of experience as competitors in Ninja Warrior competitions in their home countries (some of them have also competed in Ninja Warrior competitions outside their home countries), course testers, and/or parkour and climbing athletes:
Male category:
Joe Scandrett (UK; stuntman and parkour athlete)
Tim Champion (UK; reigning champion from the previous season and course tester for Ninja Warrior France and Ninja Warrior Poland)
Shane Griffin (UK; stunt performer and course tester for American Ninja Warrior, Ninja Warrior UK, Ninja Warrior Switzerland, Ninja Warrior France, and Ninja Warrior Arabia)

The following is the overall results of Race Against the Elite across all of the heats. It was later revealed that in each category, if less than eight competitors beat their elite competitors, then eight competitors would advance to the finals. The winning competitors filled the finals spots first, then the remaining spots were filled by the losing competitors who made the furthest in the fastest time.
Male Category[]
Four competitors managed to beat their elite competitors and advance to the finals. Therefore, the top four losing competitors filled the remaining finals spots.
Five competitors managed to beat their elite competitors and advance to the finals. Therefore, the top three losing competitors filled the remaining finals spots.

The Finals[]
Major changes were made to this season's finals:
In Round 1:
The eight competitors in each category would compete head-to-head across four matches in a same format to Race Against the Elite during the heats, in which male competitor would tackle nine obstacles and female competitor would tackle six obstacles.
Though two competitors run in each match, the results of both competitors would be taken into the leaderboard, and at the end of Round 1, the top two competitors in each category would advance to Round 2 (Mount Midoriyama).
In Round 2 (Mount Midoriyama):
The final two competitors in each category would compete in a side-by-side Rope Climb, with the winning competitor being crowned as the champion.
For the first time ever, prizes were offered for the champions. The champion in each category would receive the cash prize of £25,000 and a brand new electric car, the 2022 MG ZS EV worth over £31,000.
