Ninja Warrior UK 5 was the fifth season of Ninja Warrior UK. The show was filmed in Manchester Central Convention Complex, and premiered on April 13th, 2019 at ITV.
Around a year after the taping of this season's Ninja Warrior UK, it was announced by co-host Chris "Kammy" Kamara that the commissioner of Ninja Warrior UK had decided to pull the show off the air, effectively ending Ninja Warrior UK. The show's television network ITV has declined comments on this matter at that time.
In early 2022, various news sites have reported that Ninja Warrior UK will be set to return for a new season in late 2022 for the first time since 2019. Then, in April 2022, ITV announced the return of Ninja Warrior UK, with a new format of searching both men's and women's champions.[1]
The Heats[]
A new rule was implemented on this season, in which only the competitors who completed the course in each heat would advance to the semi-finals. If they failed on any obstacle, their journey to the competition would be over.
This season also marked the return of several competitors (past semi-finalists and finalists) who haven't been competing on Ninja Warrior UK for several seasons. Just like on the previous season, several celebrities also competed on this season.
