Ninja Warrior Germany 4 was the fourth season of the international SASUKE/Ninja Warrior format in Germany. The show was recorded in dm-arena-Messe Karlsruhe and premiered on September 13th, 2019 at RTL. The hosts of this season, just as of the other seasons, were Frank Buschmann and Jan Köppen and the sideline reporter of this season was Laura Wontorra. This time, out of the many applicants, who applied to participate in this season, 294 competitors would first participate across 7 Preliminary Round episodes, then the best competitors of the Preliminary Rounds would participate across 7 Semi-finals Qualifications episodes, then the the best competitors of the Semi-finals Qualifications would participate across one Semi-finals episode and the final competitors would then participate across Finals episode, which aired on November 8th, 2019.
The Qualifications[]
The Preliminary Rounds and the Semi-finals Qualifications were run over in 7 episodes. Out of the 50 participating competitors, the 15 best/fastest competitors of each Preliminary Round would advance to the Semi-finals Qualification. In the Semi-finals Qualifications, the 7 (or 8, if one of the female competitors at least got past the second obstacle) best/fastest competitors of each Semi-finals Qualifcation, would advance to the Semi-finals of the season.
The New Additions[]
The Special Regulations for female competitors[]
For the first time in Ninja Warior Germany, there were rules to make it easier for women to qualify for the next Semi-finals Qualification:
- The first special rule, which only applied to the Preliminary Rounds, was that the 3 best female competitors of each Preliminary Round, even if they did not place in the actual Top 15, would definitely advance to the Semi-finals Qualification.
- If one of the female competiors placed in the actual Top 15, and did not need the special regulation, only the 3 best female competitors of the Preliminary Round would still advance to the Semi-finals Qualification and the, for exmaple, 4th best female competitor would not advance, if the above-mentioned happened.
- The second special rule, which only applied to the Semi-finals Qualification, was that the female competitor, who at least got past the second obstacle of their Semi-finals Qualification, and made it further in the better than the other female competitors (this would only apply to the case, in which more than one female competitor at least got past the second obstacle of their Semi-finals Qualification), would advance to the Semi-finals of the season.
- If none of the female competiors at least got past the second obstacle of their Semi-finals Qualification, then no female competitor of that Semi-finals Qualification would advance to the Semi-finals.
The Mega Wall[]
And to have a new addition to the Preliminary Rounds of this season, the Mega Wall got newly added to the Preliminary Rounds, making it's first appearance in Ninja Warrior Germany. The participants who would manage to clear the Mega Wall on their first try would receive a 2,000€ cash prize.

- Note: The running order for the Second Stage of this season was determined by how fast each of the 19 remaining competitors completed the First Stage's course, with the better their First Stage clear time, the further back they were placed in the running order of the Second Stage. This means that the participant with the best First Stage clear time would run last in the run order of the Second Stage, while the participant with the worst First Stage clear time would run first in the run order, and so on.
- Note 2: Any participant, who would clear this stage, would have a 30-45 seconds long resting time, which would start immediately after they cleared the Second Stage, and would then have to immediately attempt the Third Stage after that resting time.
