Nico Gentry is a four-time American Ninja Warrior competitor and MMA fighter, who first competed on American Ninja Warrior 9. Nico suffers from an eye condition called nystagmus, which causes him to not be able to see objects in motion.
American Ninja Warrior 9[]
In ANW9, he put up one of the most astounding runs in San Antonio qualifying. He managed to clear the first three obstacles, which included eye-coordination requiring obstacles like the Tick Tock and the Spinning Bridge. However, he sadly slipped up halfway through the Sky Hooks, ending his run.
American Ninja Warrior 10[]
He returned for American Ninja Warrior 10, in the Dallas qualifying region. His run was all cut, but it was revealed he failed just the second obstacle, Catch & Release.
American Ninja Warrior 11[]
He returned in Oklahoma City, where his run was once again cut, but he fell on the Fly Wheels.
American Ninja Warrior 13[]
He returned in the third qualifying episode, where his run was yet again cut, but it was revealed that he failed on Pretzel Twist and made it far enough to make the top 30 for the first time in his career as he placed 14th overall. He later competed in the third semifinals episode. His run there was also cut, but he failed on the third obstacle, Ring Chaser, ending his season.
