Namba Masatoshi (南波 雅俊) is a TBS announcer who joined TBS in 2020 after leaving his announcing job at NHK. Based on an interview, Namba joined TBS because he wanted to live his dream of commentating SASUKE. He would finally realize his dream as he debuted as a TBS announcer for SASUKE in SASUKE 39.
He was brought in as the #3 announcer, after Kumazaki Kazato was promoted to the #2 announcer. Both Kumazaki and Namba then switched positions in SASUKE 40, as Namba would be the #2 announcer. However, in SASUKE 41, he returned to the #3 announcer position, while Kumazaki returned to the #2 announcer position. In SASUKE 43, Namba returned to the #2 announcer position again, as the #3 announcer was brought by Ozawa Koki.
He is also the play-by-play announcer for Sports Danshi Grand Prix tournaments since 2024.
