Nakayama Kinnikun (なかやま きんに君) is a Japanese comedian who has had the most success on SASUKE as a comedian, save for Ōmori Akira. He displayed great strength, but not much speed, as he usually timed out late in the First Stage. He has timed out or failed with less than ten seconds remaining in all of his attempts except in SASUKE 13, SASUKE 27, SASUKE 30, and SASUKE 33.

Performance History[]

Nakayama debuted in SASUKE 8 where he performed well on the rainy course, reaching the Soritatsu Kabe, however he timed out there like many others that day. He returned for SASUKE 9 where he took his revenge on the Soritatsu Kabe and managed to clear the First Stage, with a narrow window of 0.5 seconds left, however he was slow on the Second Stage and slipped from the Spider Walk with less than 10 seconds remaining. His next attempt was in SASUKE 10, however he struggled with the Soritatsu Kabe, and once he cleared, he slipped from the Tarzan Rope just as time was about to expire.

SASUKE 11 was his best competition to date. He had no real trouble on the First Stage and managed to clear with 5.5 seconds left. In the Second Stage, he was able to clear the first half of the course but he was too slow and this proved to be costly because despite having a fast pace on the second half, he hit the finish buzzer a fraction of seconds loo late. Since then, he has struggled to clear the First Stage. In SASUKE 12, he timed out at the Rope Climb after struggling on the Tarzan Rope, and in SASUKE 13 he surprisingly exited the competition early when he slipped off the new Cross Bridge. Kinnikun then appeared in SASUKE 15, where he failed the Soritatsu Kabe like many others (this time due to the hot temperatures) which he had never failed since his first attempt.

He finally returned to SASUKE after a 6-year hiatus in SASUKE 27, but his run ended early when he didn't push enough body weight on the Rolling Escargot, where the disc rolled the other way. He returned for SASUKE 28 where he exacted revenge on the Rolling Escargot, but timed out on the second wall of the Ni Ren Soritatsu Kabe. Ιn SASUKE 29, he performed much better than the previous tournament clearing every obstacle with ease. However, he was slow on Tarzan Rope while trying to untie the rope and almost missed his step at Rope Ladder. He timed out there. In SASUKE 30, Nakayama cleared the First Stage for the first time since SASUKE 11, however in the Second Stage, he failed the Cross Slider when he jumped off the pads to land on the mat too early. Nakayama's final appearance came in SASUKE 33, where he was the first competitor to ran that day, in which he made it up to the Double Pendulum before failing.
