Morgan “Moose” Wright is a P.E. teacher who has currently competed in five seasons of American Ninja Warrior.

American Ninja Warrior 8[]

Wright first competed in American Ninja Warrior 8 in Atlanta. His run was cut from the broadcast, but he failed the Spin Cycle, when he couldn't transition to the third hoop.

Morgan Wright competed in Kansas City in American Ninja Warrior 9. His run was digested in qualifying, but it was shown the he failed the Bar Hop. Wright placed 25th and advanced to the city finals.

In the city finals, Wright had a hard crash on the Broken Pipes, but was able to get through the obstacle. He got his revenge on the Bar Hop, but failed the Salmon Ladder. Given the high amounts of casualties on the earlier obstacles, Wright placed 14th overall and moved on to Vegas. His run on Stage One was cut, but it was revealed that he failed Snake Run.

Wright returned to compete in Miami in American Ninja Warrior 10. In qualifying, he placed a bet to have Matt and Akbar put on Moose hats if he finished the course. Wright used an interesting technique on the Slippery Summit by facing backwards and was able to clear the obstacle (although he did lose his hat in the process). He was able to finish the qualifying course and hit his first buzzer. Wright finished in 11th place overall.

His run in the city finals was digested but it was shown that he had failed the Ring Turn, an obstacle he beat in qualifiers, due to him rushing the obstacle. He missed out going to the national finals this time around as he placed 21st overall.

American Ninja Warrior 11[]

Wright returned to compete in the Atlanta Qualifiers on American Ninja Warrior 11. Sadly, he fell at the Ferris Wheel and didn’t get there fast enough to earn a spot at the city finals, as he placed 31st overall.

Morgan originally was slated to compete in Washington D.C. on ANW 12, but did not get a chance to run due to COVID-19 modifying the entire season.[1] He did receive a call to compete on ANW 14, but received an injury a month before he was expected to compete, and so he forfeited his spot on the season.[2]

American Ninja Warrior 17[]

Morgan confirmed on Reddit that he received the call to compete in and compete in American Ninja Warrior 17. [3] He competed in the fourth qualifying episode, where he was revealed that he suffered a near fatal heart attack back in 2022, but he managed to pull through. He ended up falling on the second obstacle Log Grip, once again ending his season in the qualifiers, but it was still a good comeback after what he had been through.

Trivia[]

  • Prior to competing, Wright served in the U.S. Army and National Guard for 14 years combined.
