Miles Avery is a gymnastics coach who first competed in Pittsburgh in American Ninja Warrior 7.

As of American Ninja Warrior 11, he is the oldest competitor in ANW history to compete in the city finals, at 57 years of age in American Ninja Warrior 8.

American Ninja Warrior 7

He competed in Pittsburgh where he failed to scale the Warped Wall. However, he placed 23rd overall, and advanced to the city finals. He was the oldest competitor at the time to advance to the city finals, at 56 years of age.

During the city finals, he couldn't complete Snake Crossing. He placed 29th overall.

American Ninja Warrior 8

Avery returned to compete in Philadelphia in American Ninja Warrior 8, his run was digested in qualifying but it was shown that he was one of the many athletes that failed Rolling Thunder, Miles placed 26th overall and beat his own record, moving on at 57 years of age.

In the city finals, his run was digested again but it was shown that he failed the Wall Drop.

American Ninja Warrior 10

He returned to compete in Philadelphia. Although his run was cut, he failed just the first obstacle, the Floating Steps.

American Ninja Warrior 11

He competed for his fourth season in Baltimore. His run was once again cut, but he went out on the Dangerous Curves.
