Michael Pericoloso is a rafter and current Vegas MC and five-time competitor on American Ninja Warrior.
It was revealed on broadcast that Michael is a huge Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles fan. He named his son, Leonardo, after the TMNT character of the same name. He has also revealed buying over $30,000 of TMNT merch and collectibles. He would eventually get to compete in a course that promoted a film of the TMNT franchise, that being on ANW 15 with the promotion of the Mutant Mayhem movie in 2023.
American Ninja Warrior 4[]
He first competed on American Ninja Warrior 4 in the Northeast Region. In qualifying, his run was digested, but it was shown that he managed to make it to the Warped Wall, but could not scale it. However, his time was good enough for 25th place and a spot in the semi-finals.
In the finals, his run was digested again, but it was shown that he again failed to clear the Warped Wall. However, he was one of only 15 that day to clear the Jumping Bars, and as a result, scraped in at 15th place and moved on to Vegas.
In Vegas, his run was digested for the third time, but it was shown that he was one of 10 competitors to go out on the Half-Pipe Attack.
American Ninja Warrior 5[]
He returned to compete on American Ninja Warrior 5 in Baltimore. In qualifying, his run was cut, but it was revealed that he finally scaled the Warped Wall and cleared the course, placing 24th overall. In the semifinals, his run was digested, but it was shown that he was disqualified on the Body Prop after he grabbed the top of one of the walls and swung over, his foot tapping the water in the process. However, this was good enough for 14th place and the second spot in Vegas.
In Vegas, his run was cut, but it was revealed he failed the Jumping Spider despite clearing it the previous year.
American Ninja Warrior 6[]
He returned to compete in St. Louis. His run was cut, but he failed the Bridge of Blades and sadly did not advance to the city finals. He mentioned in his submission video for ANW 14 that he was disqualified on the course.[1] This implies he got disqualified for making incidental contact with the obstacle, as that is what happened to a number of fails on that obstacle.
American Ninja Warrior 14[]
After a seven season absence, he returned to compete on American Ninja Warrior 14 in the fifth qualifying episode. His run was digested, but it was shown that he failed the second obstacle, the Shattered Panes. This marked the second time he failed to advance from the qualifier.
American Ninja Warrior 15[]
He returned in the eighth qualifying episode, which was incidentally promoting the new TMNT Mutant Mayhem movie. His run was digested, but he once again failed the second obstacle, this time being Greased Lightning, and once again missed out on advancing.
Despite failing, he was allowed to attempt the Mutant Mayhem obstacle for fun after his official run, as he is a huge Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles fan. He did successfully complete it.
He did not compete in either American Ninja Warrior 16 or American Ninja Warrior 17. It was rumored that Michael competed in the latter, but he confirmed himself that he did not actually compete that season.[2] However, Michael did mention receiving the call to compete in ANW 18.[3]
