Michael Bernardo (Washington, D.C.) - Mike is a firefighter/paramedic in the District of Columbia. He is originally from Cleveland, Ohio, where he worked as a paramedic. He has competed on four seasons of American Ninja Warrior (2-5), but was not shown on the broadcast until ANW 4. In American Ninja Warrior 2 and 3 he failed to make it up the warped wall. He completed the Northeast Qualifying round, advancing in the top 30, but was one of many people to fail the trampoline jump to the Jumping Bars in the finals. He then came back for [[American Ninja Warrior 5]] in Baltimore, where he passed the qualifying round. However, in the finals, he failed the Rumbling Dice when he tried to transfer to the platform too early and hit the platform really hard. He advanced to Vegas as an wild card, but made another hard fall, slipping on the Half-Pipe Attack. Because of his fall on the Half-Pipe Attack, it earned him the warrior wipeout of stage one.

Bernardo in American Ninja Warrior 6

Michael Bernardo (Washington, D.C.) - Mike is a firefighter/paramedic in the District of Columbia. He is originally from Cleveland, Ohio, where he worked as a paramedic. He has competed on four seasons of American Ninja Warrior (2-5), but was not shown on the broadcast until ANW 4. In American Ninja Warrior 2 and 3 he failed to make it up the Warped Wall. He completed the Northeast Qualifying round, advancing in the top 30, but was one of many people to fail the trampoline jump to the Jumping Bars in the finals. He then came back for American Ninja Warrior 5 in Baltimore, where he passed the qualifying round.

He came back for American Ninja Warrior 6 and competed in St. Louis, but shocked everybody by failing the Cross Bridge when he tried an unorthodox way of attempting it and slipped on the second platform.

After his shocking fail in ANW 6, Bernardo competed in American Ninja Warrior 7 to avenge himself. This time, he was able to clear the 3rd obstacle that knocked him out last season and clear the rest of the qualifying course. On the Pittsburgh finals, Bernardo gave his best performance yet by making it all the way to the 9th obstacle (Doorknob Arch) before failing. Even though he didn't complete the course, he made it far enough fast enough to qualify to the National Finals in Vegas. This is his first year to do so.
