FYI I am one of the guys in the new admin discussions... Don't know if you remember me... But I just wanted to let you know that there needs to be an Amin Hasselhein page, this dude was a broadcaster who tried out on the course twice. Both times he failed on the first obstacle. And Dan Le Batard and Papi of the sports show Highly Questionable constantly make fun of him for falling in the water twice. So I thought you would need to know that... I'm sure there is a YouTube video of his fail...
Hello! Sorry I thought I responded in the Discussions thread.
Feel free to go ahead and create that page. As part of a community, wikis should encourage any user to be bold and create articles they feel are needed. If the article needs improving, another editor can always jump in and help out! :)
Well you do a great job! I'd love you to work with me Dass, and Goleemt at Soda Lovers Wiki. We need more activity. Although if you googled our wiki, it is still not to big yet. If you could maybe promote it? I obviously would not want to pay for something like that! But if you could tell some people about it, because we need more editors. Our wiki is very active, I edit twice a day, and there are 98 pages, if you could ever, check it out, that would be appreciated. Also, great job with your admin campaign and best of luck
The wiki looks in good shape! To attract more editors, the answer is to, for now, carry on contributing and give your articles plenty of rich content. This way your articles move up search engine rankings. For more details, Help:Attracting contributors is a really cool resource! :)
Hello! That is certainly a priority and in order to do that we could do with some new admins appointed first. I started a thread here with the aim of appointing new admins, feel free to participate! I'd love to hear from you. :)
Being direct, I’m not realy intersted in being an admin but I do love the wiki. I’ve been asking the fandom team for months to make this community mobile eligible (as I’ve done for a few other communities) and this one has been by far the hardest to do. I literally have posted on G4’s wall months and moths ago regarding this request and had someone else internally do so as well. While getting some more admin support makes sense, the community obv is as it is now. To be mobile eligible there’s not much that has to be done, I think enabling a talk/discussion page is one of the few requirements. I really don’t see a reason to not continue through with doing the things that would make it Eligiblle first. Becuase all being on the app is doing is just giving the same visibility that can be foind on desktop but making it easier to read on mobile.
Cliff notes: agree it would be nice to have more admin support, but don’t see the reasons to not fast track the few lingering chdck list items to make it mobile eligible anyway
I wholeheartedly agree we need to give this wiki mobile app support and it will benefit it greatly. However, one of the requirements for the inclusion of the wiki on the app (as well as having Discussions and a Mobile main page enabled) is to have active admins on the wiki. That's why I'm trying to make a push for those active admins.
As the current Discussion has lost a bit of traction, tomorrow I'll put up a more focused Discussion on the candidates with the intent of promoting one or all of them depending on user support.
Thanks so much for your feedback on this. It is great to see you wanting the wiki to progress and make the most of what appealing to the mobile audience has to offer. I'll do my best to get to that stage as quickly as possible for the benefit of the wiki. :)
