Matthew Schumann is a bluegrass musician who first competed in ANW 6.
American Ninja Warrior 6[]
Schumann started competing on ANW in St. Louis during American Ninja Warrior 6. His run was cut in qualfiying, but he finished 14th overall.
In the city finals, he failed the Rumbling Dice. However, he was able to clinch into the 15th spot into advancing for the national finals. He later failed the Jumping Spider on stage 1.
American Ninja Warrior 7[]
Schumann returned in American Ninja Warrior 7 in Orlando. His qualifying run was cut, but he failed the Double Tilt Ladder, an obstacle he beat twice last year. Although he still placed 28th overall in qualifying, he failed it again in the city finals. He placed 24th overall, and failed to advance to the national finals this season.
