Mathis Owhadi is Business Student from Tomball, Texas, who is known by many for his nickname, "The Kid". Owhadi is of French descent, being able to speak French fluently.
Owhadi first competed in Team Ninja Warrior: College Madness as a member of the Houston Cougars team. His team lost against the Georgia Bulldogs in the relay showdown, when his teammate, Zach Tamayo, failed the Salmon Ladder. He then competed in American Ninja Warrior: Ninja Vs. Ninja as a member of Team Iron Grip, captained by Daniel Gil.
Because of the age eligibility drop on American Ninja Warrior, Owhadi was able to compete in American Ninja Warrior 10 at the age of 19.
Because of his massive experience, Mathis Owhadi was able to dominate the qualifying course in Dallas, blazing through most of the obstacles despite being a first-time competitor in the regular season. He attempted the Mega Wall but barely missed out on scaling it, barely being able to grip one hand on top. However, Owhadi managed to scale the regular 14'6' wall on his one attempt and finished the qualifying course with the 4th fastest time. He was also the first 19 year old to clear a course.
Owhadi also continued his rookie season by finishing the city finals course, qualifying for the national finals in 5th place.
In Stage 1, he was the final runner of the first half of the national finals, and became the second-youngest person ever to clear Stage 1, with 40.29 seconds left on the clock, the overall third-fastest time of the First Stage. However, he was unable to beat Wingnut Alley of stage 2. Ultimately, Kid ranked as one of the top rookies of American Ninja Warrior 10, along with Zach Day and R.J. Roman.
Owhadi returned to compete in Oklahoma City in American Ninja Warrior 11. He was the the final runner of the night, and was trying to get both the Mega Wall and the Power Tower. He managed to breeze thru the first 5 obstacles in just over 70 seconds. When he reached the Warped Wall, he decided to go for the Mega Wall. However, he missed on his first two attempts, thus, losing his spot in the Top 2. However, in shocking disbelief, he missed on his third attempt which resulted in a fail. However, his time was still adequate to advance to the city finals, as he placed 14th overall.
During the city finals, he was the last competitor of the night. He performed exceptionally on the course, completing the course with the second fastest time. He later faced off against Daniel Gil in a Student vs. Master competition on the Power Tower. They were neck-and-neck at first, until Kid pulled through at the end and won against Gil, securing the Safety Pass. Ohwadi was the final runner of Stage 1 and breezed through the course finished with almost 52 seconds left. Ohwadi was the 2nd runner in Stage 2 and fell on Grim Sweeper when he hit the 2nd sweeper when his knee hit it causing him to not get a good grip and falling. Ohwadi cashed in his Safety Pass and finished Stage 2 with 11 seconds left. Ohwadi got to Stage 3 but was taken out on the Ultimate Cliffhanger when he made the jump to the final ledge but he couldn't get to the next ledge and fell.
