Because of his massive experience, Mathis Owhadi was able to dominate the qualifying course in Dallas, blazing through most of the obstacles despite being a first-time competitor in the regular season. He attmepted the Mega Wall but barely missed out on scaling it, barely being able to grip one hand on top. However, Owhadi managed to scale the regular 14'6' wall on his one attempt and finished the qualifying course with the 4th fastest time.

Mathis Owhadi is Business Student who is known by many for his nickname, "The Kid". Owhadi is of French descent and is able to speak French fluently.

Mathis Owhadi first competed in Team Ninja Warrior: College Madness as a member of the Houston Cougars team. His team lost against the Georgia Bulldogs in the relay showdown, when his teammate, Zach Tamayo, failed the Salmon Ladder. He then competed in American Ninja Warrior: Ninja Vs. Ninja as a member of Team Iron Grip, captained by Daniel Gil.
