The Maruta Bashi (丸太橋) is an obstacle used in the First Stage redesign of KUNOICHI 2009. It is similar to the Danchigaibou from the previous tournament, but it only consists of one log and there was no button for starting the Hishouchu.
In the actual tournament, four people ran the First Stage at once. However, there were only three logs, so the competitor who was slowest on the Fuansou would have to wait behind to complete it.
Though it knocked out some of competitors, it was not as deadly as the Danchigaibou due to the fact it was just one log, and there was no extra need to rush it.
Possibly because of the low knockout rate, Kadoi Satomi and Komiya Rie both getting Kanzenseiha and due to the course reboot and change of format this was replaced by the Pipe Hold in KUNOICHI 2017 Spring.
