Maggie Owen is a college student and former ANW Jr. competitor from Naperville, Illinois. She is a student of ANW competitor Jesse Labreck. She's is currently the girlfriend of fellow competitor Jay Lewis.
American Ninja Warrior Junior[]
Maggie made her first appearance on American Ninja Warrior Junior in the 13-14 age division. In the seeding round, she won against Emilie Thibodeau to advance to the knockout round in the winners' seed. However, she lost to Jonah Brown, ending her season there.
American Ninja Warrior 13[]
Maggie was originally slated to make her debut on American Ninja Warrior 12 in St. Louis.[1] However, due to the pandemic, her invite was cancelled.
Maggie would ultimately make her American Ninja Warrior debut in the fifth qualifying episode one season later in ANW 13. There, she had little trouble with the first three obstacles. She also looking good on Tilt-A-Whirl, but she ended up falling there after the bar wasn't fully secured on the left side and it popped out as she went for the dismount. Since she didn't make it to the obstacle fast enough for the top 5 women, she didn't advance to the semifinals, ending her rookie season.
American Ninja Warrior 14[]
Maggie returned for her second season in the third qualifying episode. Her run was digested, but she failed on the Kickboards, once again going out on the fourth obstacle. This time however, her time to the obstacle placed her 3rd among the women, advancing her to the semifinals.
Maggie later competed in the third semifinals episode. Her run there was also digested, but she failed on the third obstacle Clockwork. Her coach, Jesse Labreck, later ran and shockingly failed on the same obstacle. However, Maggie was faster to the obstacle, and so she placed 3rd among the women and advance to the national finals for the first time in her career.
In Vegas, her run was digested, but she failed on the Giant Rollercoaster, ending her second season.
American Ninja Warrior 15[]
Maggie returned for her third season in the fifth qualifying round. She had a close call on Pole Vault but recovered and later cleared the fourth obstacle for the first time. She ultimately failed the fifth obstacle, Ring the Bells, and this was good enough to place 2nd among the women.
She later competed in the first semifinal episode taking on Violet Kepo'o. Their race was digested, but both failed Slingshot. Despite that, Maggie got there first and advanced to the national finals for her second straight season.
Her run at the national finals was also digested, but she failed the Giant Rollercoaster for the second year in a row.
American Ninja Warrior 16[]
Maggie returned for her fourth season in the fifth qualifying round. Her run was digested, but she failed on Heavy Metal, once again going out on the fourth obstacle. It was not enough to advance to the semifinals this time around, so her season ended in qualifying in a similar outcome to ANW 13.
American Ninja Warrior 17[]
Maggie returned for her fifth season in the third qualifying round. Her run was digested, but she failed on the third obstacle, Log Runner, once again ending her season in the qualifiers. It also marks her first fall on a balance obstacle as well as her earliest exit to date.
