Lucas Reale is a business student and current Ninja coach who first competed in Philadelphia in American Ninja Warrior 10 as a 19-year-old rookie.

It was revealed that his father had tragically passed away from suicide. His runs were dedicated to him, and he also says that training for American Ninja Warrior helped him cope with it, and also has been therapy for him.

In Qualifying, his run was digested but it was shown that he failed the Lightning Bolts. He did place 13th overall at the end of the night, however, so he was able to advance to the city finals.

In the city finals, he failed the Captain's Wheel but placed 8th overall and moved on to Vegas.

In the national finals, Lucas put up an impressive run finishing Stage One with 15.40 seconds remaining. It was also mentioned that his run in Stage One also took place during the third year anniversary of his fatherโ€™s death. During the post-run interview, he was shown to feel emotional about it.

His run on Stage Two was digested but it was shown that he failed the Criss Cross Salmon Ladder.

American Ninja Warrior 11[]

Lucas returned to compete in American Ninja Warrior 11 in Baltimore. His qualifying run was once again digested but it was shown that he had a strong run as he completed the qualifying course with the fourth fastest time.

In city finals, he failed the Angry Birds, but had a fast enough time to get a spot in the top 2 for the Power Tower. However, he got hung up and lost against Dave Cavanagh.

In Vegas, Reale finished Stage One for the second year in a row. Reale also finished Stage Two for the first time and moved on to Stage Three. Reale was the first to clear the Ultimate Cliffhanger that season. But he had trouble on the Pipe Dream especially on getting traction on the poles and finally fell trying to transition to the dropping poles.

American Ninja Warrior 12[]

Lucas competed in ANW 12, where he competed in the final round of qualifying and finished the course with the third fastest time that round right behind Joe Moravsky and Michael Torres.

In the semifinals, he competed in the second round of the semifinals and finished the semifinal course as well, placing 2nd right behind Joe Moravsky once again who bested his time by a mere one second. He later put a solid run in the finals round, being one of seven finishers and placing 3rd overall. He was one of the final eight to participate in the final Power Tower playoff, but he eventually lost against Adam Rayl in the first round.

Before the postponement of the season due to the pandemic, Lucas was originally scheduled to compete in Washington D.C. this season.

American Ninja Warrior 13[]

Lucas returned to compete in ANW 13. He participated in the second round of qualifying where his run was digested, but it was revealed he is now engaged with his girlfriend and fellow competitor Kyra Tatlow. He was one of seven finishers that round, finishing the qualifying course with the second fastest time right behind Kaden Lebsack.

He later competed in the second semifinals episode. His run was also digested there, but it was shown that he was one of many who failed the eighth obstacle, Padlock. He pace to the obstacle placed him 12th overall, so he once again qualified for the national finals.

In Vegas, Reale was once again looking strong on the first stage and he decided to go for The High Road but unfortunately he jumped to early for the ring and he ended up falling there, making it the first time that he failed Stage One.

American Ninja Warrior 14[]

Lucas returned for his fifth season in the second qualifying episode. His run was yet once again digested, but it was shown that he was one of many who failed the fifth obstacle, Piston Plunge, making it the first time since his debut in season 10 that he failed on a qualifying course. But giving his speed, he still moved on to the semifinals by placing 13th overall in that round.

He later competed in the first semifinals episode. He made it past the Ghost Town, making it the second time that he cleared the eighth obstacle. Then at Split Decision, he was the first of just two competitors that episode who attempted the Spin Zone, which he ended up falling.

He placed 7th overall, once again advancing him to the national finals. In the national finals, he was briefly shown at the end of Stage One to have finished with 28.07 seconds left. On Stage Two, his run was digested, but he failed the Hornet's Nest.

American Ninja Warrior 17[]

After not being chosen to compete in American Ninja Warrior 15 or American Ninja Warrior 16, Lucas returned for his sixth season in the sixth and last qualifying episode. His run was shown in full for the first time during the qualifiers and despite needing all three of his attempts to get up the Warped Wall, he once again cleared the qualifying course, placing 6th overall, moving onto the semifinals.

Lucas later competed in the last semifinals episode. There, he once again got past Corkscrew and The Dungeon, before he ended up falling on the Invisible Ladder, falling around the 20ft mark. He placed 11th overall, thus he once again advanced to the national finals.

During the finals, Lucas first raced against Joe Moravsky. Though they both fell on Piston Plunge, Lucas made it there first, making his score 1-0. Then, he faced Jay Lewis in his second race, where in a digested performance he failed the Floating Monkey Bars while Jay cleared. In his last race, he went up against Rachel Degutz. Lucas had the lead early on, but unfortunately failed the Floating Monkey Bars again, while Rachel completed the obstacle and later the course, ending his season.

  • He was shown on the sidelines cheering on for Allyssa Beird during the 2016 season in Philadelphia. He was also shown to cheer Dave Cavanagh in Kansas City and Allyssa Beird in the National Finals in 2017.
  • He was a tester for Los Angeles, Kansas City, and Cleveland during American Ninja Warrior 9.
  • Given that his run on Stage One took place on the third year anniversary of his fatherโ€™s passing, it was known the death of his father was June 19, 2015. This means that filming for night two of the national finals took place on June 19, 2018.
