Log Screw (ログスクリュー) was the fifth obstacle in Second Adventure Stage on VIKING 1, but due to the difficulty of previous obstacles, it was not attempted until VIKING 2.
The obstacle simply consisted of three cylinders that spun on a central axis, with the second and third cylinders parallel to each other and connected to a rounded at the top balance beam perpendicular to the three cylinders. The competitor must cross the first log, then cross either left or right on the balance beam to cross one of the parallel logs.
No one ever failed it, probably the reason it was removed in favour of Tactical Parley in VIKING 3.
A few years later, the Broken Pipes, an obstacle introduced in American Ninja Warrior 9 have a similar rendition to this obstacle.
