Since 2004, FOLCOM has produced several series that take heavy, obvious inspiration from his work on Sasuke and Kinniku Banzuke. While they are not fully considered canon, they are considered sister programs and spiritual successors.

Related Monster9 and GoldEggs Productions[]
Monster9 is the studio behind Sasuke from 2005 thru 2011. Monster9 was lead by Sportsman No.1 and Kinniku Banzuke series creator Ushio Higuchi. During this period, Higuchi created a number of direct continuations of the above series. Due to legal complications between Higuchi and TBS, these shows were able to be produced as Higuchi owned the IP, but were not all considered canon series as TBS owned the branding and licensing. Following Monster9's closure in 2011, Higuchi formed a new company in 2012 called GoldEggs that continued to produce series. These series are all considered sister series and spiritual successors, despite not being formally canon.
