Kuboki Hironori (久保木浩功) was a graduate student studying physics at Tokyo University when he attempted SASUKE. After timing out on the Soritatsu Kabe in his rookie effort, he watched video tape of that obstacle and came up with a formula to beat it. His next attempt, he cleared it in one shot and had the fastest First Stage time that day. In this new Second Stage, he was able to clear with 5.1 seconds left and made it all the way to Stage Three. He made it all the way to the Cliffhanger before failing the transition to the second ledge. His next time out, however, he shocked many when he failed the new Godantobi.
