Kishimoto Shinya (岸本 真弥) is a paper manufacturer who has competed in seven SASUKE tournaments. At the start line, he shows off his great strength by bending a frying pan. He is also a member of the shin-sedai, but by far has the least successful results of all the shin-sedai.

He first competed in SASUKE 25, where he drew a very high number from the lottery, #95. However, he failed the first obstacle, the Dome Steps.

He was invited back for SASUKE 26 but did not fare much better as he failing the Rolling Escargot.

In SASUKE 27, his run was shown on the SASUKE 27 Navi. He exacted revenge on the Rolling Escargot but almost failed the Giant Swing, eventually timing out on the Soritatsu Kabe.

He returned for SASUKE 29, where he was known to have worn the number #88, however, his run was all cut. External information has revealed that he failed the Hedgehog in this tournament.

He then participated in SASUKE 30, where he put on his best performance so far, clearing the first two stages with ease and becoming only the third person (after Morimoto Yūsuke and Kawaguchi Tomohiro) to clear the Crazy Cliffhanger. Unfortunately, he became the first person to fail the Vertical Limit, losing his grip about halfway through. This would be his only true success in sasuke, and he would finish the tournament in third place.

Kishimoto has built several replicas of obstacles, including the Salmon Ladder, Shin-Cliffhanger, and his most recent replica, the Ultimate Cliffhanger, which he has shown he can complete, as seen on his YouTube page.

In SASUKE 31, he received #90 based on his previous performance, however, due to a back injury, he was not able to compete.

He then participated in SASUKE 32, wearing #88, and was shown preparing for his run after Nagasaki Shunsuke (who wore #87) cleared the First Stage. However, the broadcast skipped to Urushihara Yuuji, who wore #89, meaning his run was all cut. It is known that he timed out on the Soritatsu Kabe.

In SASUKE 33, wearing #80, his run was all cut as he was shown on the Trailer. It had shown that he shockingly failed the first obstacle yet again, the Quad Steps. He had hit the first step high, and he didn't get enough push to the second step and he only got half of his foot on the step, causing it to slip.

Due to another injury, he has not competed since.

Trivia[]

  • Kishimoto is one of handful competitors of any SASUKE/Ninja Warrior format, who complete in multiple tournaments but clearing the First Stage once, notable other similarities being Mori Yōko in KUNOICHI.
