Katie Bone is a climber who has type one diabetes from Bernalillo, NM, who previously competed on the second season of American Ninja Warrior Junior and currently on American Ninja Warrior. She is also the girlfriend of fellow ANW competitor Kaden Lebsack.
American Ninja Warrior Junior 2[]
Before she competed on American Ninja Warrior, she competed in episode #13, which was the tenth qualifying episode. There she lost her race against Grace Moon in the seeding round before she also lost her race in the knockout round against Kai Beckstrand (who also has type one diabetes), eliminating her from the competition.
American Ninja Warrior 14[]
Katie first competed as a rookie during the fourth qualifying episode. There, she put up a very impressive run as she was the first competitor in that episode who got past the Final Frontier. She missed her first attempt at the Warped Wall, but she got easily on her second attempt, becoming the first finisher that episode and also the second woman teen to clear a qualifying course that season. She placed 8th overall, being the slowest finisher and was also the top women competitor in that episode.[1]
She later competed in the fourth and last semifinal episode, being shown as the first runner in that episode. There she had another strong run, being just the second (and last) woman this season to have made it to the back half of a semifinals course. She ended up being the only competitor that episode who failed on the eighth obstacle, going out on Ghost Town. Just like in qualifying, she ended up being the top women's competitor, and she placed 13th overall, advancing her to the national finals.
At the national finals, she ended up falling on the fourth obstacle of Stage One, going out on the Jumping Spider, ending her rookie season.
American Ninja Warrior: Women's Championship 3[]
Katie also competed at the third Women's Championship, which was taped during and soon after the American Ninja Warrior 14 National Finals. In the first round, she got revenge on the Jumping Spider, later making it to the Fly Hooks before falling after she failed to transfer from the first hook to the second hook. She placed fifth and advanced to the second round.
She was the final runner in the second round, and she was the only competitor who managed to get past the fifth obstacle, Hornet's Nest, and then she also cleared the Falling Shelves, being just the third woman to clear Stage Two in any American Ninja competition, placing first and advancing to the final round.
In the final round she managed to defeat the current women's champion Jesse Labreck in the first Cat Grab race. Then she also defeated Addy Herman in the final race, thus becoming the new women's champion.[1][2]
Soon after the Women's Championship, it was later revealed that she unfortunately suffered a serious injury, tearing her ACL & meniscus while on Team Trials for the Paris 2024 Olympics. Consequently, she didn't compete in both American Ninja Warrior 15 and 16.
American Ninja Warrior 17[]
Katie made a comeback in American Ninja Warrior 17 in the second qualifying episode, being shown as the last runner of the episode. Once again, she had an impressive run as she had little problems, and she once again cleared the course despite missing her first attempt at the Warped Wall in 13th place.
She competed in the second round of the semifinals where Katie made it through the first two obstacles with ease before falling on Log Runner, after her leg touched the water as she tried to save herself. She didn't move on at the end of the night, marking the first time she didn't make it to the back half and her earliest exit on a semifinals course.
American Ninja Warrior: Women’s Championship 5[]
Katie then returned to compete in the fifth Women's Championship as one of the favorites to win once again. During the first round, she ended up once again falling on Log Runner after her right foot tripped on the second log. She ended up 12th overall and thus she advanced to the second round.
In the second round, she raced against Mady Howard. She was behind at first after she stumbled when she cleared the Shrinking Steps, but then Mady failed on the Floating Monkey Bars while Katie was able to clear that obstacle and also the course as a whole, advancing her to the semifinals. During the semifinals, she raced against Isabella Folsom. She ended up losing the race after falling on the Floating Monkey Bars while Isabella cleared the obstacle, eliminating her from the competition.

- She's the first woman to conquer the supersized version of the Falling Shelves.
- She's the third woman and first rookie/teenager to conquer Stage Two after Jessie Graff and Jesse Labreck.
- Katie is the first Women's Champion to have not completed at least one course throughout the championship, falling on Fly Hooks on Stage One.
- Alongside Addy Herman and Noah Meunier, Kaden and Katie Bone are the first couple to attempt Stage Four, but unlike Katie, Kaden has never finished Stage Four within the time limit.
