In the tournament, he wore #65 and cleared the First Stage with 34.84 seconds left, which at the time broke a First Stage speed record (it was later broken by Travis Furlanic and then David Campbell. In the Second Stage, he failed the Double Salmon Ladder. During the transition, he built up too much momentum and blocked the bar with his legs during the transfer to the second wall. He returned in SASUKE 28, only to be cut from the broadcast, but shown in the intro failing the Jump Hang Kai. After missing SASUKE 29, he returned for SASUKE 30.
