The Kabe Nobori was the final First Stage obstacle for the first two SASUKE tournaments, directly following the Free Climbing.

It was simply a wall with rock climbing artifacts on it, in which competitors must climb the wall to reach the button and completed the First Stage. It was unlike the Free Climbing as its artifacts were on a downward-moving conveyor belt.

During the broadcast of Ninja Warrior, the Kabe Nobori and Free Climbing were referred collectively as the Subduction Zone in SASUKE 1 and the Mountain Climb in SASUKE 2.

In SASUKE 3, the Kabe Nobori and Free Climbing were replaced with the Rope Climb, with the Tarzan Jump at the starting platform. The Rope Climb was used until Nagano Makoto's kanzenseiha in SASUKE 17, before being replaced by the Rope Ladder in SASUKE 18.
