Intro[]
KUNOICHI 4 (officially,「KUNOICHI2004冬」, literally KUNOICHI 2004 Winter) is the fourth competition, took place at Winter of 2004, like the first two tournaments. Miyake Ayako, Komiya Rie, and Tanaka Maho made her debut at this tournament.
The 1st STAGE have received modifications in some obstacles, with the time limit increased to 105 seconds, However despite these modifications, there were eliminated several top competitors including Nishimura Chie, former finalists Mizuno Yūko, and Hanzawa Tomomi, Overall 8 competitors managed to clear the 1st STAGE, including only former finalist from the previous tournament Izumi Mika.
In the 2nd STAGE saw only addition of modified Sanrentobi, with the time limit reduced to 35 seconds, it only eliminated Izumi Mika in Sanrentobi and Oana Ban timed out in Fuyuujima, 6 competitors were able to clear the 2nd STAGE. In the 3rd STAGE, the time limit remained unchanged but all competitors were eliminated on Tourenban, with the exception of Miyake Ayako.
In her first FINAL STAGE appearance, Miyake amazingly completed the final stage with 4.1 seconds left, becoming the first ever competitor to achieve Kanzenseiha in KUNOICHI.
