After 7 years of hiatus since KUNOICHI 2018, KUNOICHI 12 (officially, 「KUNOICHI2025」) was officially announced by TBS on October 18, 2024 on the official SASUKE website and Twitter and is set to air in 2025. This was the fourth tournament after Komiya Rie's and Kadoi Satomi's kanzenseiha.

According to the TBS's news page, the taping took place on November 30, 2024 across all stages with the morning sessions only available for the First Stage to attend.
