KUNOICHI 13 (officially, 「KUNOICHI2025秋」) was officially announced by TBS via the official KUNOICHI website, a trailer posted on the official SASUKE YouTube channel and Twitter on August 5, 2025. The broadcast aired on November 24, 2025 at 6:30pm JST with a time slot of approximately two hours and thirty minutes. This is the first tournament after Oshima Ayano's kanzenseiha.

Applications[]

TBS officially released the application on August 5, 2025, on the official KUNOICHI website. The application deadline was slated on September 7, 2025.

Filming[]

According to the TBS's news page, the taping took place on October 9, 2025 across all stages. However, audiences was limited to the First Stage during the morning session.

Summary[]

Since the previous tournament's following Kanzenseiha by Oshima Ayano, the course was moderately altered to increase the difficulty, with at least one obstacle in all stages being modified or being replaced outright with a more difficult obstacle.

In the First Stage, the Prism See-Saw appeared as the new first obstacle, replacing the Rolling Hill, albeit with a new rendition compared to its SASUKE counterpart, with the mechanisms being modified so that the obstacle swings faster upon impact. The time limit of the stage would also be reduced to 90 seconds, the lowest since KUNOICHI 7. Significant damage was brought upon by the course as eighteen competitors fell on the first obstacle alone. The rest of the course would also follow suit as it would take out multiple competitors left and right, most notably Mori Hikaru, who previously reached the Third Stage last tournament, and Miyake Ayako, the only competitor to achieve Kanzenseiha three times, would both fail on the Fish Bone. Amidst this, a total of twelve competitors completed the First Stage, the most clears in the post-KUNOICHI 8 era and the third highest First Stage clears to date.

In the Second Stage, the Backstream, a signature SASUKE obstacle, would also make its introduction as the third obstacle, increasing the number of obstacles to five. With its introduction, the time limit would also increase to 90 seconds alongside the first water obstacle introduced in KUNOICHI. Similar to its rendition in SASUKE, majority of the competitors would struggle in navigating the stage as seven competitors timed out on either the Reverse Conveyor and the Wall Lifting. Despite the introduction of this combo, four competitors would survive the Second Stage, all of which clearing with more than 10 seconds left on the clock.

In the Third Stage, the Propeller Untei was replaced by the Lamp Grasper, the Cliffhanger would return in the form of the Crazy Cliff, and the Flying Bar was replaced by the Pipe Slider. The Sponge Bridge once again took out Sakai Tamaki, while the Crazy Cliff took out Saito Ayumu. On the other hand, Watanabe Mai got revenge on the Sponge Bridge and managed to clear the Third Stage, while Oshima Ayano was able to avenge her failure on the Pipe Slider back in KUNOICHI 10 and completed the stage and advance to the Final Stage, becoming the third competitor in KUNOICHI history to attempt the Final Stage in consecutive tournaments.

The Final Stage would also receive a modification with the introduction of the 2.5 meters high Salmon Ladder, making it similar to the sixth version of SASUKE’s Final Stage. The presence of the Salmon Ladder would decrease the Tsuna Nobori's height from 5.2 meters to 4.5 meters. Both Watanabe Mai and Oshima Ayano would reach the Salmon Ladder but Watanabe fell on the transition to the third rung, while Oshima fell on the fourth rung, ending the tournament with no competitor reaching the Tsuna Nobori.
