Kōsoku Slider (高速スライダー) was a VIKING obstacle introduced in VIKING 4. It was notably one of the few original obstacles in that tournament that had not been re-used or modified from the first three VIKING tournaments. It acted as a mini combination of Pipe Slider and Gliding Ring, where competitors would slide down a track with a pipe before landing on a floating platform below the end of the track. Unlike the Super Diving where competitors have to grab the pipe before moving on, the pipe is placed on the starting platform. However, there is no stopper at the end of the track, making it possible for the competitors to over-shoot. After landing on the floating platform, the competitors then had to traverse a tight log in order to advance to the next obstacle.
Due to the format of VIKING 4, two competitors would attempt this obstacle, which had two sets of a bar-and-track. Because of this format, the presence of only a single log meant that the competitor who reached this point first would gain advantage over their rival competitor. Also, due to the format of the tournament, a failure would not end the run of the competitors. They simply just had to climb out of the pool and proceed to the next obstacle.
