Justin Kydd is a systems administrator from Waldorf, Maryland that competed on three seasons of American Ninja Warrior as a walk-on.
American Ninja Warrior 5[]
Kydd debuted at the Baltimore Qualifiers where he was all cut. Like many had that night, Kydd got hung up on the Circle Cross. No matter what he tried, he couldn't build up the momentum to reach the second ring. He eventually gassed out after struggling for over a minute straight.
American Ninja Warrior 6[]
Kydd would walk-on at the Denver Qualifiers. His qualifying run was all cut. Kydd had one of the fastest paces of the night, breezing through the course. He finished in a time of 1:29:97 and placed 5th overall.
Kydd's city finals run was digested. His pace through the front half of the course was just as quick as it had been the night prior. Kydd was one of the fastest to attempt the ninth obstacle, immediately securing a spot in Vegas. Kydd would fail the Doorknob Arch after gassing out halfway through. His run was enough to place 8th overall.
In Vegas, Kydd's stage one run was digested. He came very close to completing the Silk Slider until his foot dipped in the water while dismounting the obstacle.
American Ninja Warrior 7[]
Kydd returned as a walk-on at the Pittsburgh Qualifiers. His qualifying run was digested. Like he had the year prior, Kydd flew through the qualifying course. He completed the Devil Steps for the second year in a row and made the hardest obstacle of the course, Snake Crossing, look easy. His finishing time of 2:10:42 was the 4th fastest all night.
Kydd's City Finals run would not be what anyone expected. His run was all cut but later verified by fans in attendance of the taping. After beating Snake Crossing easily the night before, Kydd would slip up on it, ending his season.
