Justin Gielski is a former loadmaster for the U.S. Air National Guard.
Gielski has two children, whom he is known for encouraging with his signature "magic fingers". He currently holds the world record for most consecutive skips on a slackline by an individual.
American Ninja Warrior 7[]
Gielski competed in San Pedro in American Ninja Warrior 7. In qualifying, he failed the I-Beam Cross but placed 14th overall.
In the city finals, he made a strong run up until the Globe Grasper but placed 5th overall and moved on to Vegas. His run on stage 1 was digested, but it was shown that he failed the seventh obstacle, the Coin Flip. Gielski was actually one of only two competitors to fail there, with the other being David Campbell.
American Ninja Warrior 11[]
After a three-year absence from ANW, Justin returned in Tacoma, competing in his home state in Washington. While his qualifying run was mostly cut, he was shown during Akbar Gbaja-Biamila's Moments at the end of the episode, where he got to the end of the course and was undecisive about which Warped Wall to take on. He asked his wife if he should attempt the mega wall, signaling with his hands that he wanted to win the cash prize. Knowing that victory was more important to Justin, she told him to go for the normal 14.5' wall. Taking her word, Justin scaled the normal wall and hit his first buzzer in his career.
His city finals run was cut, but he failed the Lightning Bolts. He did not make it back to Las Vegas, as he placed 30th.
