Josh Norton is a janitor from Spring, Texas. Norton serves as the janitor at Iron Sports, a Ninja Warrior gym owned by Sam Sann in Houston, Texas.
He is a two-time walk-on, in which he was selected for the first two seasons he ran.

American Ninja Warrior 9[]
He first competed in American Ninja Warrior 9, in San Antonio. His run in qualifying was cut, but it was revealed that he had failed the Sky Hooks and didn't make the top 30.
American Ninja Warrior 10[]

He return to compete in Dallas in American Ninja Warrior 10. In qualifying, his run was cut, but it was revealed that he failed Crank It Up, placing 19th overall.
In the city finals, he ran as the first competitor on the course, and even though he failed the Nail Clipper, he placed 14th overall at the end of the night, punching his ticket to the national finals.
His run on Stage One was cut but it was revealed that he failed the Propeller Bar.
American Ninja Warrior 11[]
He returned in Oklahoma City, where this time, he received the call to compete. His run was digested, but he once again slipped on the fifth obstacle, this time being Coconut Climb. However, he was one of the later runners on the course, and as such, secured a spot in the top 30 due to his fast time. He placed 20th at the end of the qualifying round.
During the city finals, he got revenge on Coconut Climb, but once again failed the eighth obstacle, this time being the Crazy Clocks. He didn't advance to the national finals, as he placed 19th overall.
American Ninja Warrior 12[]
He returned in the second qualifying episode, along with Daniel Gil and Gabriel Hotchkiss. He run was digested, but it was shown that he failed the Ring Chaser after his missed the big ring, and had to use the smaller ring and he missed using it.
American Ninja Warrior 13[]
He returned to compete in the first qualifying episode. His run was completely cut from the broadcast, but it was revealed that he once again failed on the fifth obstacle V Formation, but he still qualified for the top 30, by placing 16th. But in an Instagram post, he revealed that he injured his right pectoral on the previous obstacle Tipping Point, though he still went until he got to the V Formation. Two weeks after his qualifying round, he had to get surgery for the injury, which meant that he unfortunately that to withdraw from the city finals. His replacement for his withdrawal ended up being Christian Washington, who failed on Lunatic Ledges.
