In Josh's official debut he competed at the Midsouth Qualifiers held in Dallas. His run was all cut from television. Lobeck had cleared the course in 1:07:50. His time was the 6th fastest.
Lobeck's Regional Final run was shown in full. He had cleared the course in 3:04:64, making him the 8th fastest clear. Unfortunately, his brother Joe didn't qualify alongside him, as Joe placed 16th overall.
Josh Lobeck's Stage One run was digested. He had a miss on the Warped Wall that really hurt his pace. Thankfully, Josh hit the buzzer with just enough time left. He cleared with three total seconds left.
Like his Stage One run, Lobeck's Stage Two run was also digested. Lobeck failed the Double Salmon Ladder after the bar got uneven, causing him to lose his grip. He has not competed since.
