Joseph Rouse is a student from Fayetteville, Arkansas who first competed on the third season of American Ninja Warrior Junior.
American Ninja Warrior Junior 3[]
Joseph competed in the eighth episode. He first ran against Sienna Perez in the seeding round and lost the race after falling on the Lunatic Ledges. Then he ran against Rebekah Cornwall in the knockout round and he barely won. Finally he once again raced against Sienna Perez in the final showdown, which he once again lost after falling on the Sideways.
Joseph then competed in the first quarterfinals episode, competing in Episode 9. There he first ran against Secorra Heinrichs in the seeding round and won the race. Then he ran against in Jordan Carr in the knockout round when Jordan fell Broken Bridge and he barely fell the Spinball Wizard. Finally he faces Phil Folsom and barely didn't beat him eliminating him from the competition.
American Ninja Warrior 15[]
Joseph then competed in his first regular season in the third qualifiers. His run was digested, but he failed on the fifth obstacle, Lasso Launch. He placed 4th overall, advancing him to the semifinals.
Joseph then competed in the third episode of the semifinals, facing off against Nick Hanson. Though Joseph was behind at first, he was able to get ahead on Sideways. Both of them ended up falling one obstacle later on the Slingshot, but since Joseph made it there first, he won the race and advanced to the national finals as a rookie.
On Stage One, Joseph lost a significant amount of time on the roulette wheel of The Gambler, but managed to get through. Unfortunately for him, he timed out at the Warped Wall.
American Ninja Warrior 17[]
Joseph returned for his second season during the first qualifying episode. His run was digested, but he was able to complete the qualifying course, hitting his first buzzer in 8th place.
He then competed in the first semifinals episode. His run there was also digested, but he ended up falling on the second obstacle Log Grip after he didn't release on the drop, ending his season.
