Joseph "Joe" Meissner is an college student from New Egypt, New Jersey.
American Ninja Warrior 13[]
He first competed in the fifth and last qualifying episode. His run there was cut, but he cleared the course in his rookie debut in 6th place. He later competed in the second semifinals episode. His run there was also cut, but he failed on the fourth obstacle, going out on the Spinning Bridge, ending his rookie season.
American Ninja Warrior 16[]
He returned for his second season in the sixth qualifier. His run was digested, but he got revenge on the Spinning Bridge, which took him out in the semifinals, and he once again cleared the course in 5th place. Additionally since he cleared in under 1:20, he also attempted the Mega Wall, which he missed.
He later competed in the second semifinal round, going up against his idol, James McGrath. Both of them completed the course, but Joe did it in a faster time, advancing him to his first national finals.
Joe would get digested in the national finals, though he would clear Stage One with the slowest time out of the 26 finishers with 00.74 seconds left to spare. Joe later raced against Noah Meunier on Stage Two. The race was digested, but Joe lost after falling on Jawbreakers while Noah cleared the course, ending his best season to date.

- He beat the record by a mere four hundredths of a second set by Jackson Twait in American Ninja Warrior 14, now he holds the record of taking thew longest to do so lasting 169.26 seconds (2:49.26) before he reached the buzzer.
