Jonathan Parr is a physical therapist from Austin, Texas that competed on six seasons of American Ninja Warrior.

American Ninja Warrior 5[]

Parr debuted at the Denver Qualifiers and was included in a digest reel of fails. Parr quickly got through the course until facing the Warped Wall. Here he would exhaust all three of his attempts and come up short. Under normal circumstances it would've been enough to advance to the City Finals, but due to there being 50 clears, it was not enough.

American Ninja Warrior 6[]

Parr returned to compete at the Dallas Qualifiers. His run was all cut from broadcast. He would later confirm himself on social media that he fell on Ring Toss. He got hung up on the peg board and eventually gassed out.

American Ninja Warrior 7[]

Parr's best results would happen at the Houston Qualifiers. His qualifying run was shown in full on TV. Parr would have the slowest pace of all the clears, finishing in 4:25:60. He took his time to save his stamina for obstacles like Cargo Crossing and the Swinging Spikes, which paid off. He placed 15th overall and advanced to the City Finals for the first time.

Parr's City Finals run was digested. Once again Parr ran at a snail's pace in order to conserve his energy. He would go at a pace even slower than his qualifying run, taking over five minutes to get to the back half of the course. This strategy would not pay off as he would fail early into the Walking Bar. His pace almost cost him a spot in Vegas, but alas he claimed the final spot, placing 15th overall.

In Vegas, Parr's Stage One run was shown in full. He was one of the few competitors to fail the Sonic Curve that night after losing his balance.

American Ninja Warrior 8[]

Parr's Oklahoma City Qualifying run was all cut for a reason. In this run Parr would suffer an almost career ending injury. While crossing the Log Runner, Parr would slip and take a hard fall. Parr had to be placed on a stretcher and sent to a hospital. There it was learned that he had torn several key ligaments in his leg. It would be a grueling process for Parr to get healthy, let alone compete again. His injury also took place right before UFC fighter Felice Herrig's run, which she would claim rattled her.

American Ninja Warrior 9[]

After going through a steep recovery process to rehabilitate his leg, Parr managed to compete at the San Antonio Qualifiers. His return was digested and he cleared the course in 4:39:09. He had the slowest clear of the night, placing 16th overall.

Parr's City Finals run would be digested as well. His strategy of intentionally using extended breaks in between obstacles would cost him a spot in Vegas this time around. Since so many had got to the Hourglass Drop, his strategy made failing it and going to the National Finals impossible. Parr got a bad bounce off the trampoline and missed the boards, ending his season.

American Ninja Warrior 10[]

Parr's final attempt would come at the Dallas Qualifiers. His run was all cut, but he'd post his result on his Instagram page. Parr slipped on the Tuning Forks, ending his season.
