Jody Freeman is a student who debuted in American Ninja Warrior 11 as one of the new 19-year-old rookies on the course.
He was born three weeks prematurely and is one of the more lighter male competitors on ANW, at just 115 lbs (52 kg). However, he has trained consistently on rock climbing and grip strength.

He competed in Atlanta in his rookie season. His run was cut in qualifying, but he finished with the 5th fastest time, having the best rookie performance in the Atlanta qualifying round.
During the city finals, he proved to be a serious and very efficient competitor, as he blazed his way through most of the course with no problem. While he was able to work his way through the first nine obstacles, he had trouble on the Spider Trap, due to him not gaining enough traction. He eventually failed there, but his performance was enough to place 7th overall, advancing to the national finals in his rookie season. He once again had the top rookie performance, being the only rookie to complete the ninth obstacle in the Atlanta city finals round.
His Stage One run was cut, but it was known that he failed the second obstacle, Spin Your Wheels.[1]
