There, despite losing his glasses at Piston Plunge, when he jump to the steering wheel, he cleared the course in his rookie debut in 10th place. He later competed in the second semifinals episode. His run there was digested, but he failed on the new Ghost Town, going out on the eighth obstacle. He placed 13th overall that round, advancing him to the national finals as a rookie. His Stage One run at the national finals was cut, but he failed on the third obstacle, going out on the Giant Rollercoaster, ending his rookie season.
