American Ninja Warrior 9[]
Allen waited in the walk-on line in Kansas City for 10 days but got accepted there to compete on the course in American Ninja Warrior 9. On his first season, he turned 21 a month before the Kansas City qualifiers, and as such was just barely eligible to compete.
In qualifying, he put up arguably the best rookie run of the night, as he struggled on second obstacle, the Hang Glider and later had a scare on the Broken Pipes, where he tripped on the second log, but managed to hang onto the second log's underside. Without tapping the water, he was able to survive the Broken Pipes and later complete the next three obstacles. He finished the course ranking 9th overall, and was one of 10 finishers that night.
In the city finals, he failed the eighth obstacle the Floating Monkey Bars and by the end of the Kansas City finals, he placed 8th overall and moved on to the national finals.
For making it to the national finals this season, Allen served as the "hometown hero" of the season. He failed the third obstacle, the Double Dipper.
American Ninja Warrior 10[]
Allen returned to compete in Minneapolis in American Ninja Warrior 10. His run was digested in qualifying but it was shown that he failed the Battering Ram. He still made it to the top 30, as he placed 21st.
His city finals run was also digested but it was shown that he once again failed the Battering Ram and didn't move on to the national finals this time around after he placed 25th overall.
He did not get a call for American Ninja Warrior 11.
