Ninja Warrior Germany[]

Ninja Warrior Germany 1[]

In 2016, Jan Hojer participated in the first ever season of Ninja Warrior Germany and was considered as the top favourite of all the participants of said season, regarding becoming the first competitor to achieve Total Victory in Ninja Warrior Germany. He first participated in the third Preliminary Round, and, as expected, would perform very well with Hojer also using a very interesting strategy on the second to last obstacle of that Preliminary Round, the Ring Toss, with him turning around on most of the transitions. At the end of the day, Hojer cleared the course with a time of 01:51.70, finishing second, only behind Oliver Edelmann, in his Preliminary Round. He then participated in the third Finals Qualification in order to become one of the 28 competitors, who would participate in the Finals of the season. There, he once again performed well and was also one of the few competitors, who cleared the fourth obstacle of the third Finals Qualification, the Arm Rings, via doing it backwards, facing the Salmon Ladder. Hojer then cleared the course with a time of 01:07.50 finishing third in his Finals Qualifications. On the First Stage in the Finals of the season, Jan Hojer would clear the first two obstacles, the Quintuple Steps and the UFO, without any trouble. On the third obstacle of the stage, the Balance Bridge (which was one of the obstacles that Jan Hojer feared the most), however, Hojer lost his balance almost immediately after starting said obstacle and almost fell off, but miraculously saved himself by somehow managing to sit onto the first bridge. With him now being in a very dangerous situation, since he also was not allowed to use his hands on the obstacle, Jan Hojer decided to take a improvisatory progress via crawling forward. After losing a lot of time, Jan Hojer unfortunately used his hand on the second bridge, getting disqualified to the shock of many people and achieving the 24th place of the entire season.
