Jack Wilson, also known as the Deadly Ninja, is a carpenter and educator from Gold Coast, Queensland, who firstly competed on Australian Ninja Warrior.
Australian Ninja Warrior[]
On Australian Ninja Warrior, Jack was notable to become the first competitor to complete the qualifying heat course, and then clocked the fifth fastest time in his heat (Heat 1). In his semifinal (Semifinal 3), he went out on the eighth obstacle (the Pole Grasper), when his foot touched the water at the end of the obstacle. However, his time was fast enough to advance to the grand final, as he finished in seventh place. During the grand final, he made all the way to Stage Two, before going out on the Basket Toss.
Australian Ninja Warrior 2[]
On Australian Ninja Warrior 2, Jack clocked the second fastest time in his heat (Heat 5). In his semifinal (Semifinal 1), he went out on the eighth obstacle once again (this time, the Hourglass to Tramp to Rope) and finished in fifth place. During the grand final, he made all the way to Stage Two, before going out on the Spider Jump.
Australian Ninja Warrior 3[]
In Australian Ninja Warrior 3, he was one of the favourites to go all the way, but a shocking fall during the 3rd Heat on the Swing Surfer ended his season early, not advancing to the Semis.
Australian Ninja Warrior 5[]
After missing Australian Ninja Warrior 4 due to an injury, he came back to go all the way during Australian Ninja Warrior 5. He came 16th in his heat (Heat 4) after he fell on the Beehive. He came back strong during his Semifinal (Semifinal 2), clearing the course in 2nd place. He lost the showdown against Jake Baker on the Power Tower though, losing out on the second-chance advantage. He was once again a favourite for Total Victory, but he was unable to scale the Warped Wall, even after the 3 attempts given, ending his season. Most likely because the wall was raised by 35 centimetres (about 1'2") since the last time he scaled it.
American Ninja Warrior: USA vs. The World 5[]
Jack was chosen to represent Team Australia on American Ninja Warrior: USA vs. The World 5, along with his fellow competitors Ben Polson, Ashlin Herbert, Bryson Klein, and Olivia Vivian.
He competed in Heat 1 of Stage One against Georgia Munroe from Team Europe and Barclay Stockett from Team USA. Jack went up last and completed the course faster than Barclay, and since Georgia fell on Double Dipper, he was able to earn 2 points for Team Australia.
With his strong opening performance, Team Australia's overall performance during the tournament was strong enough, as they finished as the runner-up of the tournament, after losing to Team USA in the Stage Four climb-off.
