Ishimoto Saori (石本 沙織) is a Fuji TV announcer who competed in three VIKING tournaments. She first competed in VIKING 1, but her run ended short after fail to beat Castaway.
She then train hard in preparation of her VIKING 2's appearance, even went as far as hanging a ball on the street and jump to it to help her training. She returned with high expectations that she will finally conquer Cannonball, however, she surprisingly fail it again. It was speculated that a very close taping date (only less than two weeks between VIKING 1 and VIKING 2's taping date) between the tournaments lead to her failure, as she didn't had enough time to train more.
A better schedule happened in VIKING 3, as it was five months away from VIKING 2, giving her the ideal time to train. This was proven as she finally beat Castaway this time, even go as far as Cannonball before finally failing it due to slipping in transition. When coming out of water, she was totally happy and laughing as she finally beat the obstacle that caused her uneasy sleeps for the last five months.

She is still a Fuji TV announcer to this day, a career that she already took since 2003. She already married since February 2013 and give birth to two daughters from that marriage, with the eldest being born on 21 December 2014 and the second being born on 15 January 2017.
