Heavy Press (ヘビープレス) was an event introduced as the third event in the fifth tourrnament of Sports Danshi Grand Prix, which was a reboot version of the former Sportsman. This event bears resemblance of Iron Squat, a Celebrity Sportsman event.

The event itself involves competitors holding on to a rest pad attached to the container over the competitors' heads. From Sports Danshi Grand Prix 6 onwards, two grips were attached to the container and so competitors no longer need to hold on to the rest pad. Each competitors would wear a belt on their waist that was chained to the platform and must maintain their position as foam balls that act as weights would gradually drop towards a 40kg container, with a maximum weight of 150 kilograms (originally 160 kilograms), totalizing to 190 kilograms (originally 200 kilograms). An alarm would sound if a competitor were to drop the container dangerously low. Therefore, the longer each competitors hold on, the heavier the weight they must maintain to avoid dropping the container. To prevent injury, competitors are advised to bend their knees to avoid hurting their lower backs and the purpose of the belt is to prevent their knees from fully extending. However, in Sports Danshi Grand Prix 11, competitors were no longer wearing belts.

Each round would continue until one competitor is remaining. If multiple competitors in a round were able to reach the maximum weight, that said competitor being the last to drop the container wins the round. As such, in the Finals, the competitor being the last to drop the container wins the event.

This event would appear in four Sports Danshi Grand Prix tournaments.
