Hashtag Ninjas are a team that competed on the first season of American Ninja Warrior: Ninja vs. Ninja, the third year of American Ninja Warrior's team competition spinoffs. The team consists of captain Nicholas Coolridge, Jesse La Flair, and Larissa Cottle.
This team is a reincarnation of Coolridge and La Flair's previous team from seasons 1 and 2 of Team Ninja Warrior, G-Force. The team was led by Jessie Graff, who did not participate on American Ninja Warrior: Ninja vs. Ninja due to being in Japan for SASUKE.
Coolridge and La Flair carried on without her, and they chose Cottle as the third member. The team name, Hashtag Ninjas, comes from all three members' social media presence.
American Ninja Warrior Ninja Vs. Ninja[]
Qualifying Episode 1- James McGrath Vs. Nicholas Coolridge - American Ninja Warrior- Ninja Vs. Ninja
The Hashtag Ninjas made their first appearance in American Ninja Warrior Ninja Vs. Ninja with Nicholas recruiting Jesse La Flair and Larissa Cottle for the roster. They first competed in Episode 1 and went up against the Beasts from the East in Round 1:
- Nicholas won the first race against James McGrath,
- Larissa Cottle won the second race as Erica Cook fell on the Floating Tiles. Cottle even scaled the Warped Wall and hit her first buzzer.
- But Jesse La Flair fell on the Flying Shelf Grab and lost the third race against Dave Cavanagh.
- The Hashtag Ninjas did win the relay race that followed.
They went up against Team Ronin in Round 2:
- Coolridge won the first race as JJ Woods fell on the Flying Shelf Grab,
- Cottle fell on the Flying Shelf Grab and lost the second race against Meagan Martin,
- But La Flair won the third race as Flip Rodriguez fell on the Flying Shelf Grab,
- But the Hashtag Ninjas lost the two relay races that followed and they got eliminated.
Nicholas Coolridge Vs. Jody Avila (S1 E11) - American Ninja Warrior- Ninja Vs. Ninja
The Hashtag Ninjas did get to compete against the Big Dog Ninjas in Wildcard Episode 11:
- Nicholas won the first race against Jody Avila,
- Larissa won the second race as Brandi Monteverde fell on the Floating Tiles,
- Jesse La Flair won the third race as Josh Salinas fell on Bungee Pipeline and The Hashtag Ninjas guaranteed a spot in the playoffs.
The Hashtag Ninjas competed in Episode 14, against Party Time in Round 1:
- Nicholas fell at the Parallel Pipes and lost the first race against Jake Murray,
- Larissa lost the second race against Barclay Stockett,
- Jesse fell on the Hanging Staircase and lost the third race against Brian Arnold and the Hashtag Ninjas were eliminated from the competition once again.
