Harashima Masami (原島 雅美) is a SASUKE regular and hang gliding enthusiast; he always brings his hang glider with him to the starting line. He works for a pen manufacturer. Despite being a fan favorite, he has never gotten very far into the First Stage, usually going out on the first obstacle. He, Aoki Yasuo, and Kuramochi Minoru usually have consecutive starting positions.
On some Ninja Warrior episodes, his name is mistranslated as "Masami Harajima." He is also referred to as a "hand glider" at times.
