Hannes Hofer was an Italian-German sports climber, route setter and climbing gym employee who participated in the regular Ninja Warrior Germany Season 3, and 2.

On November 11th, 2020, Hannes Hofer died in a tragic mountain accident during a climbing vacation in Sardinia. He sadly passed away at the age of just 27. During the profile piece of Andrea Meßner (a very good friend of Hofer) in the fifth episode of Ninja Warrior Germany All-Stars 2, there was a tribute segment dedicated to Hofer by the producers of the show while Meßner talked about the unfortunate loss of him.
