Great Wall (グレートウォール) was an obstacle that was introduced with the course's renewal in SASUKE 18. It replaced Soritatsu Kabe, which had been in First Stage since SASUKE 5. It had a similar function to Soritatsu Kabe, except instead of grabbing the top of the wall, competitors have to grab a rope and climb to the top. The obstacle was 4.6 metres in height and noticeably narrower than Soritatsu Kabe.

Despite being designed to be harder than its predecessor, Great Wall only eliminated four competitors in its appearance, as the rope was proven to be an easy reach for most competitors, especially the tall ones, prompting the producers to bring back Soritatsu Kabe again in SASUKE 19 using this wall's design, albeit the wall was widened, with the height of the wall also being made 20 cm higher than the original Soritatsu Kabe.
