Grant Kiningham is an ice sculptor from Houston, Texas.
American Ninja Warrior 15[]
Grant debuted in the third qualifier in American Ninja Warrior 15. Here, he made it to Lasso Launch before falling, and this was good enough to place 6th and advance to the semifinals.
He raced Isaiah Wakeham during the semifinals. Grant was able to finish before Isaiah did and advanced to the national finals in his rookie season.
At the national finals, his run on Stage One was digested, but he got spun around on the roulette wheel on The Gambler, costing him valuable time. He ultimately rushed the last obstacle, Thread the Needle, resulting in him peeling the cane right off the hook. His time didn't land him in the top 24, and his rookie season was over.
American Ninja Warrior 16[]
Grant returned for ANW 16 in the first qualifier. His run was once again digested, but it was shown that he completed the qualifying course for the first time, placing 5th overall.
Grant raced Dillon Ruble in the semifinals, where his race was digested, but Dillon fell on Hopscotch, guaranteeing Grant the win and a spot in the National Finals.
Grant was digested once again in the National Finals. His Stage One run was similar to that of last season, where he got stuck at The Gambler once again and ran out of time on Thread the Needle. This time, Grant was able to make it to the second hook of the obstacle before timing out.
American Ninja Warrior 17[]
Grant returned to compete in American Ninja Warrior 17, once again in the first qualifier. During the qualifier round, he ran around the middle of the taping, being runner #139.[1] His run was digested, but he once again cleared the course, this time placing 7th overall.
He later competed in the first semifinals episode. His run there was once again digested, but after clearing the first nine obstacles with ease, he gassed out on the Invisible Ladder. He placed 15th overall, advancing to the national finals for the third straight season.
He later competed in the national finals, where all of his races were digested. He won his first race against Colt Elder after Colt touched on the Pole Grasper while Grant failed on the Floating Monkey Bars. He then lost his second race against his good friend David Bergstrom-Wright, which was pretty back-and-forth until he failed on the last move of Piston Plunge, which happened after David had already cleared the course. He then won his third race against Alex Nye which was also pretty back-and-forth, but he cleared the course fastest than Alex, thus advancing Grant to the knockout rounds.
At the knockout rounds, he raced against Jay Lewis. There, he had the lead through the first three obstacles before Jay took the lead at the Floating Monkey Bars and he cleared the course while Grant once again failed on Piston Plunge, ending his season.
