Grant Clinton is a Bank Manager from Houston, Texas who first competed in American Ninja Warrior 8. Clinton had perhaps one of the greatest life comebacks in ANW history, with him almost dying from a stroke nearly six months before his season began.
Grant first competed in Oklahoma City in American Ninja Warrior 8, where in qualifying, he made it all the way to the Tire Swing and placed 29th. In the city finals, Grant impressed many when he completed the Tire Swing, and was able to finish the entire city finals course, placing 2nd. He was the only competitor in Season 8 for failing to complete qualifiers but just went on to finish city finals. However, in the national finals, he became one of many to fall on the first obstacle, Snake Run, an obstacle which also took out major veterans like Travis Rosen and Geoff Britten.
Grant Clinton returned in American Ninja Warrior 9, competing in San Antonio. This time, he completed the qualifying course and placed 8th. In the city finals, Grant was one of the many to fall on the Hourglass Drop. However, because he made it to the obstacle in 3 minutes and 25 seconds, Grant qualified for the national finals in 11th place. In Vegas, Grant completed Stage One with 6.48 seconds left. His run on Stage Two was digested but it was shown that he failed Wingnut Alley.
